What’s the best method for heating your soups?
We make soup in a variety of sizes so the length of time needed to heat your cup will vary. Please consult the package and/or cup of soup for exact heating instructions. If using the stovetop, pour soup into a heavy saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot. For microwave use, be sure to remove the plastic seal from the cup and loosely cover with microwavable plastic wrap or paper towel before microwaving. Stir the soup halfway through the recommended cooking time.
The soup I bought is refrigerated. Can I freeze it?
For best results, we recommend you serve your refrigerated soup right away. But if you'd like to freeze it, you can as long as it is frozen before the use by date on the cup. Once frozen, it will last nine months from that date in your freezer.
I heated the soup and still have some leftover. Can I refreeze the leftover soup after it’s been heated?
No, we do not recommend you refreeze the soup after it has been heated. The best way to store the soup after it has been heated is to let it cool uncovered till it's cool (39°F or less), cover, and store in your refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Do your soups contain trans fats?
We avoid ingredients containing partially hydrogenated oils, therefore our products do not contain artificial trans fats. In some cases, naturally occurring trans fats may be present due to ingredients from animal sources such as beef or dairy products.
Is there MSG in any of your products?
No, there is no MSG in any of our products.
Are your soups kosher?
Sorry, but none of our soups are kosher.
I have food allergies. How will I know if I can eat any of your soups?
We take food allergies very seriously at Blount and if you suffer from a food allergy, we recommend you review each and every ingredient statement carefully before consuming one of our products. Our manufacturing facility does not use peanuts or tree nuts, but we do have products that contain milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat, and soy.
Can I purchase your single-serving frozen soups directly from you?
No. Blount Fine Foods does not sell directly to consumers at this time.
The soup I purchased has passed its used by date. Is it still ok to eat?
We do not recommend eating the soup once the use by date has passed.
